Education is a career passion that I discovered later in life. Before teaching at Hendricks, I went to SUNY Plattsburgh to become a nurse. I worked in general medicine and neurology at Georgetown University Medical Center in Washington, DC for four years. After meeting my amazing husband, we moved to Jacksonville, FL, where we raised our fabulous five children. I was blessed to have the opportunity to stay home with my children while they were young. It was when we were faced with where to send our children to school that I was first introduced to the nurturing environment that Hendricks had to offer. As my youngest began his journey at Hendricks in the PreK3 class, I also began mine as an employee. Fast-forward thirteen years and I am still enjoying working in the Early Childhood Program. Every year, I feel as if I learn as much from working with my students and colleagues as they do from me.

I received my Bachelor's degree from SUNY Plattsburgh in nursing. I later completed my CDEA certification in 2006.

When I'm not at work, I enjoy spending time with my family - including my four-legged friends, Daisy and Honey, experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen, reading and supporting our favorite sports teams - the Jacksonville Jaguars, FSU and the Boston Red Sox.

All things are difficult before they are easy. ~Thomas Fuller
