Opportunities & Eligibility

Participation in interscholastic athletics at Hendricks Day School is a privilege which must be earned.  A player must keep in mind that they represent not only the Hendricks image, but also themselves and their families.  With this in mind, Hendricks maintains a high standard for its athletes.  Honest, hard-play coupled with strong support from the spectators, is the image of Hendricks' sportsmanship.  Poor sportsmanship discredits Hendricks and may lead to a player's removal from the game and/or team.

5th Grade Boys & Girls

• JV Basketball (Co-ed)

Students are eligible to try out for a sport if the following requirements are met: 

• completed Florida High School Athletic Association forms on file

  • click here to download EL3 - Consent and Release from Liability Certificate 
  • click here to download EL3CH - Consent and Release from Liability Certificate for Concussion and Heat-Related Illness
• maintain a minimum "C" overall grade average from the last grade reporting period 
• has no more than one "D" grade in any class from the last grade reporting period 
• has no "F" grades in any class from the last grade reporting period 
• has not resigned from a sport in the prior season 
• must be in "good" standing with teachers and the Head of School. 

After selection for a team, athletes are expected to maintain these high standards.
